BEFORE YOU GO!! When traveling to Aruba, there are a few things you need to keep in mind. These include airline updates, filling in the embarkation/disembarkation card (ED) Card, having a U.S. Passport (valid 6 months past your return date) and more! ✈️Airline Updates & Requirements Always verify airline requirements and any travel updates leading up to your travel date. Download your airline's app on your phone for easy boarding pass access, and flight and gate changes on the day of travel. Take a photo of your passport to keep in your phone as backup in case it is stolen, lost or damaged.
Embarkation/Disembarkation (ED) card (It's free!) The Aruba ED Card(Embarkation/Disembarkation) is a mandatory requirement for all individuals, including infants and children, entering Aruba. It is necessary to complete and obtain approval for this document. To access the official ED Card page, kindly use the following link. It is important to note that some services may charge a fee to assist you with this process. While the decision to utilize such services is entirely yours, please note that it can easily be completed independently and free of charge within a few minutes. You can fill in the ED-Card as early as 7 days before you travel to Aruba.
What to bring with you Make sure you are packed for success and bring important travel documents and other must-haves like prescription drugs, sun protection, insect repellant and travel insurance. If you're going to run out of a specific medicine while on your trip, it's best to just take extra with you, since there is not guarantee the pharmacies in Aruba will carry your exact medication. Travel Insurance (Optional)
Although optional, it is HIGHLY recommended that each person purchase travel insurance. The basic purpose of a standard travel insurance policy (with trip cancellation coverage) is to reimburse travelers for their insured pre-paid and non-refundable trip costs if they have to cancel their trip due to a covered reason. The covered reasons vary by provider and plan, but depending on the plan, these might include:
Accidental injury, sickness, or death of you, a traveling companion or a family member
Weather events that cause cancellations in travel plans or a cessation of service
Mandatory evacuation ordered by local authorities at your destination due to hurricane or other natural disaster
Strike that causes complete cessation of travel services of your carrier
Bankruptcy and/or default of your travel supplier
Terrorist attacks that occur in your destination city
You or your traveling companion are terminated, or laid off from employment
The cost for travel insurance depend upon the age of the traveler, the state of residency and the total cost of travel expense.
TRAVEL INSURANCE POLICIES MUST BE BOUGHT WITHIN 24 HOURS IF FULL PAYMENT IS MADE OR WITHIN 7 DAYS FROM THE DEPOSIT DATE TO COVER PRE-EXISTING CONDITIONS AND CANCEL FOR ANY REASON.
